Toronto students get a surprise visit from Hedley, along with $10k worth of new instruments!
Queen Alexandra Middle School got a visit from Canadian band, Hedley on September 27, 2017. The students received $10,000 worth of new instruments as a grant that came from the MusiCounts Band Aid Program – providing schools with music programs in need of instruments and equipment.
The day consisted of the band helping music students with rehearsals, before they took to the stage themselves. Hedley performed their previous hits “Beautiful”, “Sweater Song”, and “Old School”.
Music is a key part of the development of young minds. “It’s such an integral part of exercising that part of our brain,” says Hoggard – CBC
