Niall Horan Just Broke Another Huge Record

It just keeps getting better for Niall Horan.

Niall Horan’s debut album Flicker soared up the charts to take the number one spot. This means that One Direction now ties with The Beatles for having three members to hit number one on the charts with their solo music. Yet another huge accomplishment for the Irish singer.

Zayn Malik and Harry Styles also debuted their solo albums this year which both climbed the charts to become number one, and our Irish lad has just joined them at the top. The Beatles and One Direction are the only two groups to have three members to reach the top spot with their solo album. Amazing.

On November 8th at the CMAs, Niall responded humbly as always to the news of his number one album, saying, “Thank you very much. That’s all you want to hear. When you write somethin’, you wanna hear No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200, and that’s the news I got.”

He tells Billboard that he remembers the exact moment he got the news. In Philadelphia for his Flicker Sessions Tour, about 45 minutes before heading on stage. “My manager just came up to me and said ‘It’s official,'” Niall spilled, “and I knew that we were a little bit ahead, but it’s not over ’till it’s over.”

Niall later celebrated on stage that night by sharing the amazing news with his fans. He added, “The show that night was just a different level because I was so excited about it.”
