Welcome to the stage, woman of the year.
At this year’s 2017 Billboard Women Of The Year gala, Selena Gomez will be taking home the award for Woman of the Year. The singer, songwriter, producer AND actress will join a stacked group of past winners. Previous honourees include, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Pink, Fergie, Beyoncé and Madonna. All amazing women in the music industry.
In 2015, Selena released the smash hits “Same Old Love” and “Hands To Myself”, which made their way to the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. And 2017 proved no different as her hits, “Bad Liar” and “Fetish” had just as much success on the charts.
Alongside huge hits, the “Wolves” singer also managed to produce the Netflix drama series, 13 Reasons Why, which was a huge success.
Additionally, Selena’s worked with various charities to help raise money for causes close to her heart. Most notably, she raised over $500,000 for the Lupus Research Alliance. And to add to her list of achievements, she’s also launched a partnership with Coach and Puma. One busy, gal.
