Paul McCartney – McCartney III
The wait is finally over: Paul McCartney’s overwhelmingly anticipated all-new, all-Paul album “McCartney III” has been released. This is his first new album since 2018’s “Egypt Station” and is a stripped back, self-produced and, quite literally, solo work in the tradition of 1970’s “McCartney” and 1980’s “McCartney II”. The album was recorded earlier this year during “Rockdown”. Quite a productive year for Sir Paul indeed, and quite a celebration for all the good things that came during this bizarre and already fading year.

J.I. the Prince of N.Y. – Hood Life Krisis Vol. 3 EP
Two weeks after the release of “Excuse My Pain”, song which is also included here, J.I. has released his EP “Hood Life Krisis Vol. 3”. We thought he was done for the year, but seems like he still had a last surprise in store for us! Well, we will gladly accept new music from this rising Hip-Hop star.

Eminem – Music To Be Murdered By – Side B (Deluxe Edition)
Eminem fans rejoice, for his latest album just came back with 16 new tracks and new artwork. You could say that this is a new album and not a deluxe version! “Music To Be Murdered By – Side B (Deluxe Edition)” includes features from DJ Premier, Dr. Dre, Ty Dolla $ign, Skylar Grey, and others, as well as a music video for “Gnat” which is live and you can watch on the link above. The holidays came one week early for Eminem’s fans!

contradash – all-star
22-year-old contradash is culminating the year with his 10-track debut album “all-star”, which is full of the artist’s seamless cross-pollination of emo, pop and hip-hop into a sound tailor-made for lovelorn gen-Z’ers. Clearly 2020 has been the year for contradash, and we certainly hope that 2021 brings even better and bigger things from him!

Eli Rose – Alibi (Remixes)
Eli Rose teamed up with Toronto duo Rainer + Grimm to create two remixes of her latest hit single “Alibi”. This is certainly a magnificent way for her to close this year, one that has seen her work widely recognized. Next year is going to be even better!

Zeds Dead, PEEKABOO – POWA
Zeds Dead keep expanding their discography, the Deadbeats label brand and their list of collaborations. “POWA” is their latest track alongside PEEKABOO, a fine holiday treat for the most avid fans of the Toronto duo.

Maggie Rogers – Notes from the Archive: Recordings 2011-2016
Producer/songwriter/performer Maggie Rogers released “Notes from the Archive: Recordings 2011 – 2016”, a 16-track retrospective featuring remastered versions of her nascent material, including six never-before-heard songs. This is the first release on her own record label, Debay Sounds.

renforshort – fuck, i luv my friends (with Curtis Waters) [reimagined]
Last week was a cover, this time it’s a “reimagination”. No matter how you call it, renforshort is surrounding herself with good company (it’s Curtis Waters’ turn this time) and putting out bops. This is a new version of one of her own creations, “fuck, i luv my friends” and is accompanied by a charming piece of artwork.

Connaisseur Ticaso – Dos large
A veteran with a second coming, and yet another great example of Montreal’s thriving francophone rap scene, Connaisseur Ticaso has released a new single called “Dos large”. We know that he is working on his album, and that there’s a livestream from him coming up really soon, so those are two things to look forward to!
