5 New Year’s Resolutions You’ll Say You’ll Do, But Never Do
It’s that time of year again! That time where we all get motivated to make 2017 our bish and start up those things we said we’d start doing literally a year ago. It’s time for New Year’s Resolutions! LOL
Huge props to those people that last longer than a month and we don’t even wanna start with those who’ve made it longer than six. In all honesty, this “hate” really just stems from the fact that we can’t do it ourselves. Our intention is to only get better … but who are we kidding, our resolutions will last maybe two weeks!
Now let’s get down to business. Here are 5 New Year’s Resolutions you’ll say you’ll do, but never ending up following through with:
5. Read More Books
Yes, books broaden the imagination and it’s good to get away from staring at a screen, but it’s not as if we’re not reading at all! What do you call reading through every tweet and Instagram caption?! Everyone knows blogs are the books of 2017 … DUHH!
4. Travel More
It’s true. We can all agree that getting out there and experiencing life in another part of the world would be a dream come true, but here’s the thing. Have you seen the price of plane tickets these days?! We already spend too much $$ on the Ubers that take us down the street! We’ll just keep dreaming as it’s much cheaper.
3. Quit Smoking
This one is tough. Not only because it’s literally an addiction (and we can rightfully use the word “literally” here), but also because we are fully aware of the negative health factors that come with smoking. But did we mention it’s literally an addiction? #SorryNotSorry
2. Drink Less Alcohol
Every year we say we’re going to drink less, but as soon as we say it, somebody decides to throw a birthday party, or have a wedding party, or have a graduation party … and everybody knows you have to drink at a graduation party. And yes, you can always go to a party and not drink, but like, every time?! Apologies as we’re trying to understand this logic.
1. Hit Up The Gym
We all know this is the number one New Year’s Resolution, but we also all know how busy the gym gets after Dec 31st! Nobody has time to wait in line to use a machine. Not to mention it’s cold af outside, so wouldn’t it be way more fun to cuddle up with Netflix rather than getting sweaty with a bunch of strangers? #Facts
