SET TO PERFORM AT THE 2018 IHEARTRADIO JINGLE BALL CANADA
14 NOVEMBER 2018 (TORONTO, ON) — Platinum selling German born and Canada based pop iconoclast bülow released the vertical video for her hit single, “Two Punks In Love,” today. Watch it HERE.
Shot on location in Toronto, the video is set in black and white with simple aesthetics letting the powerful lyrics of the track captivate audiences. The vulnerable and equally stripped down sound of the track are a nod to the artists early days of experimenting with music in her childhood bedroom with only a guitar. The song struck a cord with music fans and critics telling the universal story of young love growing stronger with age, through pain and beauty. “Two Punks in Love” quickly resonated with audiences globally; in Canada “Two Punks In Love,” has found success at radio being the #1 most added track at Canadian radio in its first week of release; taking the top spot for #1 most added overall, #1 most added Top 40 and #1 most added at Hot AC.
bülow is set to play shows in Montreal and Ottawa later this month and give what is sure to be a knockout performance at the 2018 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Canada in December to wrap up an incredible year. And it has been a whirlwind last couple of years for the young singer/songwriter who has released Damaged Vol. 1 & Damaged Vol. 2 to praise from media and music listeners alike. Damaged Vol. 1 included the smash-hit debut single, “Not A Love Song,” reached close to 75 millions streams around the world and earned praise as “beautifully crafted” (NME), “pop genius” (Noisey), and a "star in the making” (Pigeon & Planes). Damaged Vol. 2 included “You & Jennifer,” “Honor Roll,” and buzzworthy “SAD AND BORED,” praised by PAPER as, “the perfect pop study in contrasts, and further confirms bülow as an artist to watch with razor-sharp wit to boot.” In addition to releasing critically acclaimed music in 2018 bülow also made her worldwide broadcast debut at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAS with spectacular performance of “Not A Love Song” and won the audiences over at the Reading Festival in the UK.
A child of the globe, bülow has grown up in five countries including Canada, Germany, the UK, the US, and just recently finished high-school in The Netherlands. Although bülow has only just begun her musical journey with these recent releases, the music already stands tall as an impressive flag-bearer for things to come.
