SELF-TITLED ALBUM OUT NOVEMBER 1
20 SEPTEMBER 2019 (TORONTO, ON) – French language singer-songwriter Eli Rose has shared her latest single, “Origami”, today via Maison Barclay Canada / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The song features Montreal-based hip hop artist Fouki and is off Eli’s highly anticipated self-titled album out November 1st. Listen to “Origami” HERE and watch the music video HERE.
When discussing the song and collaborating with Fouki, Eli commented, “I’ve co-written ‘Origami’ on a SOCAN songwriting camp in 2016. This is where I met producers Ruffsound and June Nawakiii and writer Mike Clay for the first time. Our goal was to really hone this vibey pop sound in French and this truly was the start of what ended up being a full album for me! Since the song’s quite chill but hard-hitting, I brought in FouKi because he’s the king of good vibes and that was the perfect match.”
“Origami” comes after a string of successful releases this year by the Montréal-born singer including “Carrousel” (now a Top 5 hit at Pop radio) and a moving cover of Lompal’s “Trop beau” which you can watch HERE.
Earlier this summer, Eli won audiences over at Canadian Music Week in Toronto, Les Francos festival in Montréal, and Oberkampf Music Festival in Paris, France.
