“We need to keep these conversations going. About gun violence prevention. About keeping families together. About protecting women’s reproductive rights. The 24-hour news cycle is unrelenting, but it’s important we stay vigilant and don’t forget these injustices,” says X Ambassadors lead singer Sam Harris. “If you want to continue do more and you’d like to see real gun reform passed in the United States Senate, donate and CONTACT YOUR SENATORS. Go to http://everytown.org/act to find out how.“
Produced by X Ambassadors and written by the band and Ross Golan (Maroon 5, Linkin Park), “OPTIMISTIC” was recorded at X Ambassadors’ Los Angeles studio.
X Ambassadors released their sophomore album ORION in June and showcased the new material during album release shows in Boston, New York, Toronto, St. Louis and Chicago. The band will kick off a fall headline tour October 8th at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ. For a complete list of tour dates, and to purchase tickets and VIP packages, visit https://www.xambassadors.com/tour.
The band’s debut album VHS saw X Ambassadors transition from Ithaca alt-rockers and Brooklyn indie scene outsiders to Billboard stalwarts. Now certified Platinum, the album provided an intimate look at Sam Harris and his brother Casey Harris’ youth, studded with audio snippets from home movies, and early recording sessions and sound checks. With it, came the genre-defining hits “Unsteady” and “Renegades,” a three-year global touring odyssey and a string of high-profile festival performances. Harris’ songwriting became increasingly personal, resulting in the shattering, shimmering 2018 singles “JOYFUL” and “Don’t Stay” followed by a North American headline tour. In 2019, X Ambassadors released “BOOM,” the first track off ORION, a quick-fire anthem for emphatic recovery and personal revolutions. Current single “HOLD YOU DOWN” has over 13.5 million streams worldwide.
