Have you ever been to a concert in a castle? Not sure many people can say they have, other than the royal family of course. DNCE changed that fact for a room full of lucky fans on January 21, 2016 when they brought a show to Toronto’s Casa Loma. The former home of Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt takes you back into a period of European elegance, complete with decorated suites, secret passages, an 800-foot tunnel, towers, stables, and beautiful 5-acre estate gardens.
While it wasn’t nearly warm enough to play in one of the gardens, DNCE performed on stage in a room set for a queen, quite literally.
The band, fronted by Joe Jonas, former member of The Jonas Brothers, are full of quirky fun, stating “this is the best castle [they’ve] seen all day,” before introducing themselves:
