Turn up our TV sets and go crazy is exactly what we did. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats made their TV debut last summer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and they’ve returned! On February 5, 2016 the band of 7 appeared on the late night show, performing “I Need Never Get Old.” How epic are Nathaniel Rateliff’s dance moves? As he started, we literally got up out our seats. Dancing along isn’t necessary, but highly recommended! Joseph was proper jamming out too! From Nathaniel then Mark starting with vocals to Patrick hitting that last note on the cymbals, the whole band looked like they were having fun! We felt like it was a scene out of that retro movie we remember watching as kids, but with modern day sparkle. With The Roots to back them, and all kinds of cool non-traditional (and amazing) instruments joining in, we’re pretty sure this soulful performance was that cool jam party in high school you wish you were invited to. You’re probably more familiar with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats platinum single, “SOB,” but we guarantee this one is a top tune as well. Curious how “I Need Never Get Old” came to be?
