Jon Bellion is a name that has been on our radar for quite some time, and it’s clear that now his time has come to shine! The multi-talented producer, singer, songwriter, and rapper recently dropped his critically acclaimed debut album The Human Condition, displaying his amazing potential and story-telling skills to the world as a solo artist.
Jon has been releasing a series of mixtapes since 2011, the first being Scattered Thoughts Vol.1, where he then signed with Capitol Records shortly after. The artist then started writing hits for other artists as well, including Eminem and Rihanna’s Grammy-winning track “Monster”, and Jason Derulo’s “Trumpets.” The Definition was the last mixtape he released, one that put his name on the radar for a rising solo artist.

Jon Bellion released his debut album The Human Condition on June 10, 2016 to support from some of the biggest names in music, and proved to release a beautiful body of work including his own multi-genre songwriting and production. There is a reason why you’ll hear a mix of hip-hop, pop, and rock in his work, to the point where you don’t know what genre to define it as. JB told Forbes “I have a line on my last mixtape: Wu-Tang raised me, but Death Cab changed me.” That’s why you hear the bounciness in my drums, because I’m so hip-hop influenced,” explaining how both Wu-Tang and Death Cab for Cutie influence his music creation. Jon too shares a lot of behind-the-scenes videos to show the creation of his music, that is always entirely produced by himself. Check out this video of him creating what is three of his biggest tracks to date:
Jon is currently on The Human Condition Tour with support from SonReal and Blaque Keyz, making a stop in Toronto on July 26th. Make sure to check out this amazing artist on tour and download his debut album:
