Made up of London’s own Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West, Oh Wonder has become one of our new fave duos! The amazing story of the creation of their debut album, where they recorded one song a month for a year then made that into the album, is one that put them on the map. The beginning creations of the self-titled debut began before the duo had a record deal; for each month beginning in September 2014, the duo would record one song a month and release it via Soundcloud. These releases gained the attention of major labels, and the band ended up signing with Republic Records. The debut album then released in September 2015, including all the 12 tracks, and a couple extras. Even with most of the tracks having been released for free, the album reach success, and Oh Wonder was on the public’s radar!
Oh Wonder has been taking over stages across the world ever since their debut, and we had the opportunity to catch up with them this past weekend at WayHome Music Festival! Check out the duo telling us five fun facts about themselves 😉 We absolutely fell in love with the two, and they ROCKED their performance!!
