We’ve said it a few times, and we’re not afraid to say it once again: Alessia Cara and Troye Sivan are a power pop duo & we’re huge fans!
On August 28, 2016 they lit up our screens with a collaborative performance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) pre-show, proving that everything they touch turns to gold — or rather gorgeous blue hearts 🙂
To start the night off Canadian cool girl entered through a NYC subway stop (34 Street, Penn Station), warming the crowd up with her latest single, “Wild Things.”
After saying hello to a few fans, with her hair blowing in the wind, Alessia continued the song on stage. Though the song ended, things did not get any less wild! Alessia invited her partner in crime, Troye Sivan on stage to sing the track she lends her vocals too–“Wild.”
Not only are their voices genuinely beautiful together, but we can’t help but get a little outfit envy anytime we see them. They looks so effortlessly chic and cool, it’s incredible!
After Troye graced us with his presence, Alessia Cara rocked one more song for us all: “Scars To Your Beautiful.” This was a special one, reminding everyone watching that they’re beautiful just the way they are.
