Posted on October 28, 2016

Sam Roberts Band is BACK. The group has released its sixth studio album, TerraForm, out today.

With over 13 years of recorded music under their belt, the members have covered incredible territory: From opening the iconic SARStock festival, to netting six JUNO Awards and five MuchMusic Video Awards, they’ve solidified their place in Canadian music history in such a short amount of time.

On TerraForm, the band takes sonic risks, playing with synthesizer sounds and reverberating guitars to give the album a retro sheen.

Lead single “If You Want It” grooves its way into your heart within seconds thanks to pulsing pianos and thumping drums.

The band also embraces the stadium scope of its biggest anthems like “Brother Down” and “Where Have All The Good People Gone?”. “FIEND” blends dance and rock influences that builds to a climatic chorus. “Lake Effect” is a sunny clap-along that begs to be danced along to, thanks to its infectious bass line and tambourine hits.
