Saturday Cover Series: The Vamps, Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara & Julia Jacklin

Posted on January 21, 2017

It’s that time of week! Saturday morning…afternoon? Is there a brunch version of the two?

Either way, it’s Saturday and there’s no work required. We’ve graduated from cartoons to covers & have four fantastic ones to listen to while you stay in bed, cook some food, or whatever your Saturday brings 🙂

Shawn Mendes Covers “Heathens” (Originally by Twenty One Pilots)

It’s not a full song cover, but damn we wanna hear more!

Alessia Cara Covers “Put Your Records On” (Originally By Corinne Bailey Rae)

This track has been a favourite of ours for years and wow oh wow, Alessia did it sweet justice!

Julia Jacklin Covers “Someday” (Originally by The Strokes)

Julia was just announced to make an appearance at Toronto’s Canadian Music Week in April. Here’s a taste of what to expect from this Aussie talent. Spoiler alert: her voice is breathtaking!

The Vamps Cover…

“Sexual” (Originally by Neiked)

You heard it all summer & even though Winter’s here to kick us in the butt – Connor of The Vamps adds a little black and white and makes “Sexual” his very own. Rumour has it that 1:47 will cause minor hyperventilation (in the best way possible).

Okay, know we said 4 covers – but while watching Connor’s cover, we noticed Brad of The Vamps did one as well ❤️

Shape of You” (Originally by Ed Sheeran) and “No Scrubs” (Originally by TLC) Mashup
