Having amassed 260k followers on his platform, NAV’s music was getting noticed by some influential people including celebs such as Kylie Jenner and Post Malone. Both stars were showing their interest publicly, as well as Drake‘s OVO Sound Radio camp & crew.

One of Drake’s core producers, 40, was an early supporter of NAV’s music. Tweeting out the songs:

One of NAV’s earlier accomplishments was also getting a nod from OVO Sound Radio.

With all the attention pouring in, it didn’t take long for The Weeknd‘s camp to start turing their heads in his direction. The Weeknd’s Manager, Cash, took an interest in the Rexdale native and soon a deal was brought to the table.
