After cancelling her Montreal show due to feeling unwell, Lady Gaga continued on to Toronto with her Joanne World Tour.
The pop star brings two consecutive concerts to the Air Canada Centre, a documentary premiere to the Toronto International Film Festival and also her family to the city! While the Mother Monster prepared for her first show in TO, her (actual) mother, volunteered her time with youth at the Yonge Street Mission.
“It’s a wonderful place for young people, from all over Canada I understand. To come, to feel safe and supported… This is a personal experience for our family. My daughter experienced meanness and cruelty, let’s just say, growing up that let to self doubt. Later anxiety and depression. And she most recently came out with an open letter about her struggles with PTSD.” – Cynthia Germanotta (Lady Gaga’s Mum) tells CTV
Gaga’s mum is the president of the Born This Way Foundation, which states on their site that they are committed to supporting the wellness of young people and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world.
