The First “Unofficial” Date – 2010
At the ages of 16 and 18, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were seen together in Philadelphia. Fans went into a frenzy when pictures surfaced of the pair getting cuddly on a date at IHOP, ahead of the Q201’s Jingle Ball. However, Selena tells Us Weekly that it was platonic, and that Justin is, “One of my best friends . . . It was just pancakes!”

The First Official Public Debut – 2011
After that, they were caught once again, this time hand-in-hand in California. The pair made an official appearance together at the Vanity Fair after-party for the 2011 Oscars, which took place in Hollywood. Justin looked smart in a black suit, while Selena wore an eye-catching red gown. They arrived arm in arm to the party’s red carpet.

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards marks the first time Jelena attended an awards show together. They were caught sharing a few smooches throughout the night – looking young and in love.

The date that had the internet talking. It was reported that Justin rented out the whole Staples Center for a date just for Selena. He rented it out so that the pair could enjoy watching Titanic together. “Romance isn’t dead, treat your lady right fellas”. Bieber tweeted.

The First Break – 2012
Reports rolled in that during the end of 2012, Jelena were on a break. The two had busy, conflicting schedules that ended their short lived relationship.
The “On-again, Off-again” Phase – 2013/2014
Between the year of 2013 and 2014, Jelena’s relationship was on and off again. They were seen spending time together during certain times, yet, fans were still unsure whether or not they were truly official.
