A third Shawn Mendes album. Yes, please.
Shawn Mendes hit up the red carpet on Sunday night for the 2017 American Music Awards and was obviously looking as amazing as ever. But more importantly, he stopped by to talk to Billboard about his plans for future music and what we can all look forward to.
Shawn has been all over the world for his tour and he’s had some very special moment so far. One of his favourites, though, was when he performed on stage with fellow singer-songwriter, John Mayer. John joined Shawn on stage for a one-off performance which he was more than a little excited about.
Shawn told Billboard, “He’s the coolest person in the world, first of all, he was so calm and I was freaking out and he was like, ‘It’s going to be fine.'”
It was more than fine. So good, in fact, that it could possibly have lead to a future duet. Hinting at the chance of a collab, Shawn said, “We’ve become really good friends. I think we will.”
How amazing would this be? Let’s all keep our fingers (and toes, tbh) crossed that it will happen!
Shawn also mentioned that there are definitely a few other collabs in the works. He’s already in the process of working on the next album and says that it’s totally worth the wait. Oh, we know album number three will be amazing, no doubt.
