Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have caused Twitter havoc for a certain Riverdale star. Camila Mendes (can you see why?) has been the target of avid #Shawmila shippers over on Twitter who are thinking she’s a fan account for their friendship. Since Riverdale is super popular since the show began its series at the start of 2017, Camila (Mendes) has become verified on Twitter only adding even more confusion in the Twittersphere.
Here’s how it all began:
As we know, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are super close pals, they have a song together and hang out together pretty often, so fans have been shipping them pretty hard for a while now.
Naturally, when a verified “Camila Mendes” account pops up, fans of the #Shawmila ship automatically assumed it was an official account celebrating their relationship.

To clarify a few things, Camila (Mendes) made her way to The Late Late Show with James Corden to in fact prove that she is a REAL person and NOT a Shawmila fan account. A person that just so happens to have a name sticking her in the middle of the Camila and Shawn ship.
The Riverdale star has even had this tweet pinned to her timeline since February 2017.
