“do re mi” – blackbear
With its eclectic beats and master production, this R&B track is on constant repeat for us. The song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, which makes us even more excited to turn on blackbear’s newest album cybersex for all of 2018.
“Let Me Go” – Hailee Steinfeld ft. Georgia Florida Line, Alesso, watt
This pop hit with tropical house influences is a song you’ll always find yourself humming along to. With an infectious beat and catchy lyrics, Hailee Steinfeld, along with Georgia Florida Line complete this beauty with their hit vocals.
“rockstar” – Post Malone
The number one song – everywhere. Post Malone hit the jackpot with this banger. “rockstar” soared through the charts hitting multiple milestones for the young rapper. And we’ll definitely be playing it (repeatedly) in the New Year.
“Homemade Dynamite” – Lorde ft. Khalid, Post Malone, SZA
“Homemade Dynamite” is a hit on its own. But we must admit, there is something special about the addition of Khalid, Post Malone and SZA on this track. The mixed vocals and remixed beats are a definite yes in our books.
Giants – Lights
Lights is no stranger to releasing hit songs. And “Giants” is one of our 2017 faves for sure. The track has amazing dynamic – contrasting verses that lead up to the very giant chorus and not only that, it’s a totally feel good song.
“Look What You Made Me Do” – Taylor Swift
Of course Taylor Swift’s major comeback has to be mentioned. “Look What You Made Me Do” documented the departure of old Taylor and brought in the new. It may be super different from her past work, but we all know you’re singing along to this one.
“All Night” – The Vamps, Matoma
The Vamps are known for their cheeky lyrics and unsurprisingly catchy beats, which was no different with this next track. “All Night” is the perfect dance around song that is super fun and carefree for your last night of 2017.
“What Lovers Do” – Maroon 5, SZA
Can Adam Levine’s voice be any more perfect? His classic falsetto hits the mark with “What Lovers Do” and the feature of SZA creates a great dynamic between the two artists.
“Mi Gente” – J Balvin
2017 was the year for Latin inspired music and we’re SO happy about it. The song is catchy, it’s groovy, and fans have created some killer choreography to pair with this track. Looking forward to more in the New Year.
“Sorry Not Sorry” – Demi Lovato
#SorryNotSorry. Strong and talented = Demi Lovato and nope, she’s not even a little bit sorry if you don’t like it. She put out some incredible music this year and this was definitely one of our faves.
“There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” – Shawn Mendes
Our Canadian babe rocked the chart with this hit. Shawn Mendes brought his pure talent, superb guitar skills and stellar vocals for this track. “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” is a song that you will constantly sing along to, no doubt.
“Thunder” – Imagine Dragons
The alternative rock band that made its way to the top of the charts. The Imagine Dragons unleashed this thrilling tune with a ton of energy, which is a great addition to your New Year’s Eve playlist.
“Wolves” – Selena Gomez ft. Marshmello
2017 was a huge year for Selena Gomez. After not being in the scene for a long while, she came through with a track called “Wolves” featuring production from Marshmello. If this is any indication of her 2018 releases, then our hopes are sky high.
“More Than You Know” – Axwell /\ Ingrosso
Dance music is a must for New Year’s Eve. So hit play on “More Than You Know” and you’re all set to be dancing through the night.
“A Different Way” – DJ Snake ft. Lauv
DJ Snake has been releasing the songs over the past couple of years and this one is no different. The song begins super mellow, but once the chorus hits you’re hooked and ready to dance your butt off.
“Slow Hands” – Niall Horan
And lastly, Niall Horan ends off our New Year’s Eve playlist. “Slow Hands” launched Niall’s solo career and we’re still obsessed. The track is so funky and beyond catchy.
