BORNS & Mikky Ekko Bring Synth-Pop Sorcery To Canada

Posted on February 12, 2018

Børns brought the magic for his sold-out Toronto show this weekend, with a little help from Mikky Ekko.

The mysterious singer-songwriter, born Garrett Borns, dazzled with his alluring blend of pop, rock and electronic music.

Kicking things off with the Lana Del Rey-featured “God Save Our Young Blood”, Børns ran through his new album Blue Madonna front-to-back, throwing in a Madonna homage with a quick cover of “Holiday.”

Longtime fans didn’t have a reason to worry: Børns came back on-stage to run through earlier hits like “10,000 Emerald Pools”, “American Money” and “Electric Love”.

Opener Mikky Ekko was bursting with energy, bringing massive choruses with songs like “Watch Me Rise” and “Love U Crazy.”

The crowd COMPLETELY lost it when the singer closed with his Rihanna-duet, “Stay”, letting his strong vocals shine front-and-centre.

Take a look at our photos below, and make sure to check out Børns & Mikky Ekko the next time they come to your neck of the woods.
