HRVY, born Harvey Leigh Cantwell, is a singer from Kent, England. His catchy pop tracks have achieved critical and commercial success, garnering hundreds of millions of views and streams. Check out the video for his song “Personal” below. It co-stars his friend and fellow singer, Loren Gray.

HRVY’s talents were recognized from an early age. As a child he would sing to his parents and mimic his favourite pop stars (mostly Justin Timberlake, who he claims is his biggest musical inspiration.) In his early teens, he began uploading videos of his performances to Facebook. HRVY’s videos caught the attention of a lot of people, and it wasn’t long before he signed a record deal. He promptly released his first single “Thank You”, which became a huge hit.

It was during this time that HRVY appeared as a host on the CBBC television show Friday Night Download. Whilst participating in skits and conducting interviews, he would also regularly sing on the show. Check out his awesome performance of One Direction’s “Story of my Life” here:

In February 2017, HRVY released his debut EP Holiday, which features the tracks “Holiday” and “Phobia.” Later that year, he released the EP Talk to Ya, which features one of HRVY’s most successful tracks, “Personal.” In early 2018, he released the single “Hasta Luego” alongside American-Cuban singer Malu Trevejo. Check out the song below – it’ll get you on your feet and dancing in no time.

Aside from his success as a musician, HRVY has also amassed a substantial following on social media – particularly on his Instagram. Like most artists, he posts selfies from his everyday life and previews upcoming music. His success on Instagram doesn’t come without hard work, however. HRVY explained in an interview that sometimes he takes dozens of shots before finding the right pic. It’s all about aesthetic! Check out some of HRVY’s posts here:

In 2018, HRVY released two new singles, “I Don’t Think About You” and “I Wish You Were Here.” He performed the latter  at the BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards. You can watch that performance here:

HRVY is slated to have a big year in 2019. He has released a new single “Told You So”, which you can stream below:
