Florence + The Machine has broken the record for most Shazam’s within a twenty-four hour period.

Adele’s ‘Hello’ originally held the record at 200,000 Shazam’s. Florence + The Machine’s ‘Jenny of Oldstones’ smashed the record at an astounding 300,000 Shazam’s without prior promotion or media attention.

‘Jenny of Oldstones’ was featured on a recent episode of Game of Thrones twice: once sung by a character and the final time during the show’s end credits. The end credits showcased Florence + The Machine’s performance of ‘Jenny of Oldstones’ and very clearly grabbed the attention of the Game of Thrones audience.

Entitled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the episode is the second of the show’s sixth and final season. Combining numbers from the network broadcast and streaming, the episode generated 15.9 million viewers.

The lyric video for the song has already reached over 7 million views.

Congrats, Florence + The Machine!
