BTS is known worldwide not only for their talent but for their legions of dedicated fans known as ARMY. Just like their fans, BTS are also dedicated fans to other artists.

The youngest member, Jungkook, was recently spotted at Ariana Grande’s Sweetener concert in LA. But Ariana isn’t the only person that Jungkook has been fanboying over lately. Here is a list of 4 times BTS’ Jungkook fanboyed over other artists!

1. Justin Bieber

It’s hard not to be a Justin Bieber fan. Jungkook has been a longtime Justin Bieber fan, and his name is always the first one to come out of the singer’s mouth when asked any questions about other artists. He has been showing his fanboy colours over the Canadian singers for years, even before they made waves in the North America!

On BTS’ Soundcloud account, Jungkook has dropped multiple covers of songs that show off his angelic voice. Bieber’s song are popular amongst Jungkook’s official cover discography as he has covered 3 different songs by the Biebs! These songs include ‘2U‘, ‘Purpose‘, and ‘Nothing Like Us‘. He’s also performed a medley of songs such as ‘Boyfriend‘, and ‘Sorry‘ during a solo VLive.

Jungkook is such a big fan of Justin Bieber that in an interview when asked if they could rename themselves, what would their English stage names be he answered “Justin Seagull”. The Justin coming from Bieber himself and Seagull from the official animal of Busan, Jungkook’s hometown.

All his fanboying has not gone unnoticed though. When caught up talking to fans, Justin revealed that his first K-pop song he had heard was BTS’ ‘Idol’ and he thought it was “fire”. The fans then told him to check out Jungkook and his covers!

2. Ariana Grande

BTS is a very busy group nowadays as they balance their tour, promotions, and award shows it can be very hard for them to have some downtime. Luckily, after their two sold out shows at the Rose Bowl Stadium this past week, the boys were treated to a couple days off. They updated fans of their activities via Twitter. However, Jungkook’s day off activities had everyone talking as he attended Ariana Grande’s Sweetener Tour and even got to meet the singer backstage!

Ariana posted a photo of the two on her Instagram, even going as far as making the photo her lockscreen! Jungkook later tweeted about the meeting writing “I felt and learned a lot after seeing her stage, I am really challenged by her stage and will try harder!”

We LOVE legends supporting legends!

3. Troye Sivan

Just like Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan is another name that often comes out of Jungkook’s mouth when asked about other artists. During their first press tour in the US, Jungkook said that Sivan’s ‘Ease‘ was a song he was listening to frequently.

He has also covered Sivan’s songs on their Soundcloud as well. Jungkook and fellow BTS member RM covered the song ‘Fools‘.

Jungkook has proven to be a great video editor as he’s posted multiple vlogs on their YouTube channel highlighting the groups adventures across the world. His vlog ‘G.C.F in Tokyo’ uses Sivan’s song with Martin Garrix ‘There For You’ as the background music.

Troye even tweeted about how supportive BTS was of him, and how much he wants to thank them!

4. Selena Gomez & Charlie Puth

One of Jungkook’s most famous covers is his cover of Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth’s ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’. It was so popular that Jungkook recorded a second version of it with fellow member Jimin for the groups debut anniversary festival in 2017. The duet cover currently has reached over 20 million views on YouTube.

Jungkook was able to realize one of his fanboy dreams of collaborating with Puth in 2018. Charlie was going to perform in South Korea for the MBC Plus x Genie Music Awards (MGA) and they had decided on a collab stage between the two singers. The two sang – you guessed it – ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ with Jungkook taking over Gomez’s part for the duet.

Hopefully, the boys can get lots of rest in between tour stops so we can also be treated to more great interactions from them!
