New Music Friday: Benny Blanco, Selena Gomez, Eric Church, and more!

Posted on January 29, 2021

2021 is all about manifesting change and new opportunities. To help you along, we’ve curated the perfect lineup expand to your horizons with genres from pop, country, and hip hop! If you prefer to stick with what you know, (don’t worry – we won’t judge) check out this playlist to keep you comfy-cozy all week.

Benny Blanco X Vance Joy X Marshmello “You”

Kimberly Barrena

It’s been far too long since we last heard from Vance Joy with his last album, “Nation For Two”. In “You,” Vance Joy reminds us of what we were missing without his sweet indie voice. Fortunately, he’s back now with his classic sound paired with a dance twist, and we are so here for it.

Vance Joy has always impressed us with his creative story-telling and vivid imagery, so it’s no surprise his comeback would include a killer music video. Check out his claymation creation above!

Selena Gomez “Baila Conmigo”

Don Robinson

Is it just us, or are you sensing a theme here? Just two weeks after the release of “De Una Vez,” Selena wows us again with a new Spanish track. “Baila Conmingo” translates to “dance with me” in English, and that’s exactly what we want to do when listening to this track! These vibes = immaculate

Eric Church “Heart On Fire”

Danny Rojas

What does Eric Church have in common with Taylor Swift? More than you’d think. Aside from being heavyweight superstars, that is. Between carrying all those heavy CMA and AMC awards (nine in total!) and releasing a 36-track concert album, you’d think it would be time for a break; but that is anything but the truth.

This month, Church revealed he will be releasing not one, not two, but THREE albums in April. Time for a battle of the quarantine collections? We think so

Lil Mosey “Holy Water”

Danny Rojas

Lil Mosey is kicking off 2021 the only way he knows how – as a “Certified Hitmaker,” of course! In his newest single, “Holy Water,” Lil Mosey reminds us to live life unapologetically and take note of the good things in life before it’s too late, a message that’s more important than ever. “Holy Water” comes as LM’s first track since “Certified Hitmaker,” and fans are loving his streamlined sound.

Alexander 23 “Cry Over Boys ”

Now this is the perfect addition to your your ‘sad’ playlist. “Cry Over Boys,” details a frustrating scenario where he can’t get through to someone he cares about. This release was long anticipated, especially by TikTok users when Alexander 23 cleverly teased the song on back on January 12 using a uber-popular TiktTok trend. Check it out here!

Morgan Wallen “Dangerous: The Double Album (Bonus)”

SURPRISE!!! Morgan Wallen is back again with an updated version of his double album, “Dangerous,” having added three more songs to the already-extensive track list. This bonus album comes less than a month after the original. There must be something in country singers’ water because they clearly cannot stop writing!
