The Beaches ‘Future Lovers’ EP
Juno winning rock band, The Beaches, made their return today with their 4th studio EP, ‘Future Lovers.’ The Beaches have been hot like the sand between your toes over the past year and this EP proves why. The honest lyricism is completed with honey-like vocals and a clean rock sound that evolves the girls’ already stellar discography.
“Blow Up” is an anthemic rock song with disco inspirations drawn into the instrumental throughout. The track encompasses both the future and nostalgia by blending their signature rock sound with elements of the 70’s. C’mon, look at the gorgeous monochromatic 70’s inspired outfits in the concept photos! The retro sound with The Beaches’ signature style is a recipe that will have all your friends asking you to hop on aux.

Katy Perry “Electric”
Katy Kats! Were we ever surprised to hear that our California girl had something “Electric” for us, literally. Katy Perry released her single “Electric” today in collaboration with Pokémon, something we didn’t know we needed until now!
Katy Perry mentioned when speaking about Pokémon’s impact, “Pokémon has been a constant in my life from playing the original video games on my Game Boy, to trading Pokémon TCG cards at lunch, to the adventures of catching Pokémon on the street with Pokémon GO.”

Claire Rosinkranz “Frankenstein”
Claire Rosinkranz may be looking super fly in her corduroy but this release is a bit monstrous! “Frankenstein” is Claire Rosinkranz’s first single off her new EP coming July 9th. “Frankenstein” draws inspiration from the 90’s hit “Love Fool” by The Caridigans and it’s seen in the chill but funky instrumental.
In 2020, “Backyard Boy” saw viral success on TikTok and has gone on to become a gold certified track. Rosinkranz went on to release her first EP, ‘BeVerly Hills BoYfRiEnd.’ We cannot wait to see what Claire has in store for us the rest of 2021!

Death From Above 1979 “Free Animal” Remixes
Death From Above 1979 continues their hot streak with two remixes of their March 2021 release, “Free Animal.” The song is off their latest album, ‘Is 4 Lovers.‘ Both remixes take a unique approach to the dance punk sound the group is known for. The first remix by JFK MSTRKRFT + Shelley Johannson dives into the dance and club sounds of DFA1979 entirely. The second remix by ROMES leans into the grunge sound with heavy instrumentals. We have provided links to both below, sound off on which is your favourite on our Instagram!

renforshort “fall apart (ft. glaive)”
To keep things short for ren, she released “fall apart” on Wednesday and it’s been on repeat ever since! The breakup song is renforshort’s 3rd single off her sophomore EP titled ‘Off Saint Dominique’ which is expected to release sometime this year.
“‘fall apart’ is very, very special to me for many reasons… For starters it’s the first song I helped produce which is so exciting! I picked up the guitar and started to play around. I played something and Stint thought it was dope so we just went with it. This song has been a favorite song of mine for so long now, I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to put it out, I knew it needed a feature though and that’s why it was taking even longer, legit a year later I knew who I wanted to do it and we got glaive on it, who is probably one of my favorite artists ever, so I’ve been so excited about that for so long now and I think it’s a really cool song :)” – renforshort

St. Vincent ‘Daddy’s Home’ Album
Oh holy St. Vincent, we say your name in thanks for the retro classic you call ‘Daddy’s Home.’ The album follows St. Vincent’s singles “Down,” “The Melting Of The Sun” and “Pay Your Way In Pain,” all released prior this year. St. Vincent’s 7th studio album ‘Daddy’s Home’ comes a mere 14 years after her debut album, so here’s to 14 more years of classic anthems!
When speaking on what track brings her joy to perform, St. Vincent responded “’Pay Your Way in Pain‘ brings me a lot of joy. I love getting to scream at the top of my lungs. Hmmm. Joy. Maybe ‘Candy Darling.’ I guess you say joy; I say comfortable melancholy. But there’s a love there that’s a warm, resigned, nostalgic, twinkle-in-your-eye kind of thing. That one is joyful in a way that puts me in my chest. The whole record [Daddy’s Home] was a lot of fun to sing and make. It’s a lot about capturing the performance. ‘My Baby Wants a Baby’ was fun to sing, especially at the end [starts singing it]. That’s really fun.“
