Olivia Rodrigo ‘SOUR’ Album
18 year old singer-songwriter, Olivia Rodrigo has officially made 2021 her year with her highly anticipated debut album, ‘SOUR.’ Olivia Rodrigo has already marked her name in history with the success of her 3 singles released to date: “deja vu,” “good 4 u” and of course, “drivers license.” Now, with her debut album synced to our streaming platforms, we are reminded that this is just the beginning of this spicy pisces’ revolutionary career.
“‘drivers license’ showed me that vulnerability really resonates with people — so even though it’s scary sometimes, it’s so worth it.” – Olivia Rodrigo
‘SOUR’ continues to tell the story of Olivia’s breakup, discussing themes of heartbreak and recovery. Known for her poetic approach to creatively expressing her emotions, ‘SOUR’ gives listeners a peak into the mind of Olivia Rodrigo. For such a young talent, Olivia handles loss maturely with a feeling of angst, similar to many other teens, gifting us with an Alt-Pop classic of an album.

Holly Humberstone “The Walls Are Way Too Thin”
Holly Humberstone makes her return today with her newest single titled “The Walls Are Way Too Thin.” This follows up her previous single, “Haunted House,” which was released earlier this year. The song details the 21 year old’s life living in London and living with flatmates that are unfamiliar. The dynamic and electronic instrumental makes way for a relatable story told with raw lyrics.
“I wrote ‘The Walls Are Way Too Thin’ about a time in my life when I felt like I’d lost control of where I was heading and struggling to find my place in the world. I’d just moved to a small London flat and felt claustrophobic and alone. To avoid confronting how I was feeling I’d sneak out the flat and go on train journeys to see my mates, get drunk, then come back hungover through the night and early hours. I wrote most of the Walls and the songs that come next on those trains. It was my place of therapy, in the middle of nowhere, constantly moving with no destination.” – Holly Humberstone

Zoe Wees ‘Golden Wings’ EP
“Each of the songs are autobiographical and very special to me. In a way‚ the EP was written as personal therapy, with each track helping tackle my own mental health. In regards to my great grandmother, my mom told me the one who leave are looking down at us with golden wings, so that’s why I called my EP ‘Golden Wings’. When I think of golden wings I have to think of the way my great grandmother is looking down at me from above.” – Zoe Wees on the significance of ‘Golden Wings’
Since her debut in 2020, Zoe Wees has amassed over 500 thousand streams and has only just dropped her first EP today! Wow, the talent! The two singles prior – “Ghost” and “Girls Like Us” – have seen great success and gave us a promising glimpse of what was to come. Another young artist appearing on this list, 19-year-old German singer-songwriter, Zoe Wees, has one of the most mature and melodic voices we’ve ever heard. We assure you that ‘Golden Wings’ will soar to the top of your playlists.

Lana Del Rey “Blue Banisters,” “Wildflower Wildfire” & “Text Book”
Lana Del Rey astonished fans with 3 singles off her upcoming album, ‘Blue Banisters,’ which is set to be released on July 4th. The tracks “Blue Banisters,” “Wildflower Wildfire” and “Text Book” officially ring in a new era for the queen. Lana Del Rey is known for her signature vocal styling and alternative sound which is put on display for fans to bask in like the sun in the heat of Mid-July.
‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’ was Lana’s first album of 2021, having been released on the 19th of March, and is the singer’s 6th studio album. ‘Blue Banisters’ is set to be her 7th studio album and the songs released yesterday came as a complete surprise! Despite no announcement, she is keeping fans well fed and even offering seconds. With this sweet of an appetizer to ‘Blue Banisters,’ we are chomping at the bit in anticipation of this album!
After being discovered from a J Kash Instagram live in early 2020, she has been working nonstop for this moment. Meet Naliya; a producer-song-writer who has credits to her name on Jason Derulo and Tate McRae tracks, is making her long awaited debut.
“Handshakes” is a breakup song that uses the power of metaphors to emote Naliya’s truest feelings. Blending the lines between lo-fi and hyper pop, she receives a standing ovation for flawless execution. In the words of Naliya herself, we cannot let you listen without knowing “she made the beat too.”

Parker McCollum “Drinkin'”
This release is fresh, on tap, brewed to perfection and will have you craving more; it’s Parker McCollum’s “Drinkin’.” Similar to how one feels after a few alcoholic beverages (enjoyed responsibly), Parker McCollum expresses his feelings towards a former lover. In an ode from the heart, his worries and concerns are conveyed while being tired of “Drinkin’ on his own”.
“Drinkin'” takes a much more serious tone than the similar themes of “To Be Loved By You,” McCollum’s other 2021 single. Honesty pours out of these songs like champagne on New Years, so although maybe he’s right, maybe he’s wrong, we guarantee you’ll love this song.

Jonas Brothers, Marshmello “Leave Before You Love Me”
Watch Nick Jonas host the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday, May 23rd at 8pm EST/5pm PST!
The Jonas Brothers are back with Marshmello for their very first collab! The song “Leave Before You Love Me” is quite simply a blend of both artists unique sounds coming together in harmony. The techno and electronic influence of Marshmello is present, but just as equal to the band styling and sound of the Jonas Brothers. This is the Jonas Brothers’ first single of the year, just in time for Gemini season and the heat of summer. We don’t think you’re going to want to leave this track if you love it.
Jonas Brothers and Marshmello are set close the #BBMAs with a musical medley and the televised “Leave Before You Love Me” debut.
