Available only on Amazon Music, listeners can stream new Christmas Amazon Originals from multiplatinum-selling singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding, rising Latin singer and songwriter Sebastian Yatra, and hear a brand-new song from Ingrid Michaelson & Jason Mraz. Today’s new songs include a gripping cover of Joni Mitchell’s “River” by Ellie Goulding, and a brand new seasonal song by Ingrid Michaelson and Jason Mraz, titled “Christmas Valentine.” Additionally, Colombian singer and songwriter Sebastian Yatra provided his own bi-lingual rendition of the classic, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”

“I have always loved Joni Mitchell she was one of the first female artists that made me want to be a singer. She is one of the greatest songwriters of all time and I just truly hope that I have done this song some justice,” stated Ellie Goulding. “There’s something so magical about these lyrics. It’s just such a beautiful poignant description of winter time and Christmas time and [even though] she was living in California, it wasn’t very snowy but all she wanted was a river to skate away on and that imagery is just so beautiful and powerful to me.”
“Dave Barnes and I wrote [“Christmas Valentine”] together a few months back and I knew instantly that I wanted Jason to sing on it. He graciously said yes and then added so much to the melody, taking it to the next level. It’s such a sweet joyous song, one that I think we all need now,” said Michaelson.
“Ingrid has always been one of my favourite artists for her ability to create and sing lofty love songs while keeping her heart and humour firmly planted on earth. I was overjoyed by the invitation to collaborate on ‘Christmas Valentine.’ The song is a new classic, if I may say so myself,” added Mraz.
