SURVIVE MY OWN MIND TOUR KICKING OFF JANUARY 25TH IN LOS ANGELES

21 OCTOBER 2022 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, rising pop singer/songwriter Ashley Kutcher details the ongoing battle between her head and her heart on the poignant new EP, Survive My Own Mind via Darkroom/Interscope Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The seven-song collection is an emotionally powerful journey that finds beauty in both the ups and downs of life and love.

Listen to Survive My Own Mind (Darkroom / Interscope Records / Universal Music Canada) by Ashley Kutcher via all digital retailers HERE.

Kutcher kicks off the EP with the slow-building title track. “For most of my life, I have struggled with panic and anxiety,” she explains. “I wanted to write this song so that everyone struggling with anxiety can feel less alone and know that it is possible to survive your own thoughts.” That earnestness and relatability extends throughout Survive My Own Mind, whether she’s falling in love on the tender ballad “Sleepy” or drowning in the sorrows of a fresh break-up on the heartbreaking lament “Emotionless.”

Elsewhere, on acoustic meditations “Love You More” and “Nothing’s All the Time,” Kutcher reflects on the concept of time and how it can play with our emotions. “If I’m being honest, I don’t know if I’ll feel love as I did when I was young, anymore,” she sings on the former. But by EP’s end, she feels gratitude for her past—and present—on the dynamic “Do It All Again.” “At the end of the day I would do it all again, even if it hurt me, because it gave me amazing memories and helped shape the person I am today,” she explains. It’s those experiences that have also made Kutcher one of pop music’s most affecting up-and-comers.

While Survive My Own Mind includes a few new tracks, it also features some of Kutcher’s biggest successes this year, including viral hit “Nothing’s All the Time” and fan favorite “Love You More,” which has amassed over 9.5 million Spotify streams. After the release of her One Eighty debut EP last November—featuring the hit “Love You from a Distance”—the Baltimore native continues to emerge as an artist to watch this year.

ABOUT ASHLEY KUTCHER:

Singer-songwriter Ashley Kutcher tells raw, real, and relatable stories through her music by candidly addressing her own mental health, pondering where a relationship might be headed, or discussing her emotions in depth. By doing so, she invites listeners to partake in her story as they live out their own. The Baltimore-born and New York-based singer, songwriter, and artist asserts herself as a consummate storyteller with a whole lot to say. She started to build a connection in 2019 as she performed countless gigs in local bars in between attending college for nursing. Gaining traction with her own music online, she answered a Twitter follower’s request with “Love You From A Distance.” After taking over TikTok and inspiring millions of creates, the song exploded to the tune of over 47 million Spotify streams and paved the way for her first EP, One Eighty, in 2021. It yielded fan favorites such as “If I Could,” “The Night You Left,” and more. In its wake, she notably sold out her first two headlining shows on the East Coast in New York and the West Coast in Los Angeles. Now, she opens up more than ever on her just released EP Survive My Own Mind [Darkroom/Interscope Records].
