The disco-influenced, dance-ready track was produced by Max-Antoine Gendron (Marie-Mai, Milk & Bone) and Aaron Paris (Drake, Kali Uchis, Rêve) and written by Gendron, Josh Alexander (La Zarra), Patrick Bouchard (Marie-Mai) and Alexe Gaudreault. It serves as the first taste of Jeanick Fournier’s upcoming new album, which consists entirely of original songs performed in French, tailor-made and written uniquely for Jeanick.

“Dans la peau” is about the pop diva’s current partner and how it’s never too late to find true love. “I have you in my skin, with you I can go higher,” sings Jeanick in the chorus. “Without compromise, I can move forward, I found my bearings with you by my side,” she continues later in the song.

A beautiful gift that made me dance from the first chords,” says the singer about “Dans la peau”. “This song is full of sunshine but above all, it speaks to the electricity that occurs during a romantic encounter, the current that transcends and continues… Between you and me, it’s my own personal love story.”

“Dans la peau” is the first new single from Jeanick Fournier this year, arriving months after her rendition of “I’ll Never Love Again” from A Star is Born, for which she received a standing ovation during her performance on America’s Got Talent: All Stars in January. It introduces the latest era for the singer after the release of her self-titled record label debut album, Jeanick Fournier, which debuted at #13 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, and at #1 in Québec with over 2,000 copies sold in the first week. One month after the album released, it was still sitting strong at #4 on the Top English Albums chart, and at #10 overall in Québec. Jeanick Fournier has not left the Top 3 on ADISQ’s Top English Albums from a Québec-Based Artist chart since its release.

The album’s single “Ça ira” was a massive success at radio across Québec, peaking at #25 on the Mainstream AC chart. The album and single’s success helped Jeanick earn a coveted spot on Journal de Montréal’s “Top 10 Personalities of the Year” list. She was also named amongst La Presse’s “Champions of 2022”.

The star artist continues her breakout year with her upcoming album release and a tour across Québec this fall, making stops in Gatineau, St-Hyacinthe, Drummondville, Sherbrooke, Joliette, and more. Find tickets HERE.
