01 NOVEMBER 2019 (TORONTO, ON) – French language artist Eli Rose has released her self-titled album today, marking the first ever release on Maison Barclay Canada/ Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The highly anticipated album can be listened to HERE.
The singer-songwriter takes listeners on an emotional journey throughout the 10-track urban pop record which includes the hit single, “Carrousel” currently #5 on Mediabase (BDS) in Quebec. The album is heavily influenced by the Montreal music scene and includes collaborations with Banx & Ranx (Sean Paul, Ella Eyre), June Nawakii (Nicki Minaj), Billboard (Britney Spears, Shakira) and Realmind (Loud, Allie X). On the creative process of the record Rose says, “I started writing the album after attending SOCAN’s Kenekt Song Camp in 2016 where I had the opportunity to meet talented producers. This experience propelled me to write candid, intimate pop music on my favourite subject, love. I wrote this record as if I was writing a love letter,” Rose continued, “It’s an emotional personal album ripe with vulnerability that is so unique yet so universal.”
The self-titled album is the first ever release on the recently established Maison Barclay Canada a label imprint via Universal Music Canada focused on discovering and signing culturally-relevant, progressive Canadian artists. “We are incredibly proud to have Eli Rose as the first album released on Maison Barclay Canada,” said Jeffrey Remedios, President & CEO, Universal Music Canada. “Eli and her music are a reflection of the world class talent that is originating from Quebec and Canada. This is the beginning of an exciting journey for us to showcase and champion our artists not only at home but around the world.
With new music out Eli Rose is ready to share it with live audiences and has announced a handful of Quebec shows starting in January 2020. The new concert dates come along with the news that Eli Rose has signed to Caramba Live Culture for touring representation in France. A representative from the company remarked, “Caramba Culture Live has the pleasure of welcoming the talented Quebec artist Eli Rose and her magnetic pop sound to our Archipel division.”
