ELTON JOHN UNVEILS TWO MORE TRACKS FROM FORTHCOMING ELTON: JEWEL BOX, “HERE’S TO THE NEXT TIME” AND “BILLY AND THE KIDS” OUT NOW
ELTON: JEWEL BOX OUT NOVEMBER 13
16 OCTOBER 2020 (TORONTO, ON) - Today, Elton John has unveiled two more songs from his upcoming Elton: Jewel Box, available now as instant grat tracks. The first track, "Here’s To The Next Time", features on the Rarities CD3 of the boxset. Recorded at DJM Studios in late 1967, Elton would have still been known as Reg Dwight. The fabulous blues inspired track is the demo recording of what ended up on the B-side of his first debut single ‘I’ve Been Loving You’.
The second track "Billy And The Kids" is featured on B-side CD7 of the Jewel Box. It was recorded in 1986, and was put out as a B-Side, with many fans believing it should have made the ‘Leather Jackets’ album. Bernie’s darker lyrics contrast with the upbeat synth-driven, horn-laden music, the perfect example of Elton’s iconic mid-’80s sound. Elton will also shine the spotlight on another track from his personally curated ‘Deep Cuts’ selection, with ‘What's Never Too Old’ being made available today as a pre order instant grat and on ‘Elton: Jewel Box’ digital streaming bundles.
