JAMES BAY KICKS OFF NEW CHAPTER WITH NEW SINGLE “GIVE ME THE REASON”
JOINS THE LUMINEERS ON SUMMER STADIUM TOUR
TEASES NEW ALBUM DUE OUT LATER THIS YEAR
MARCH 24 2022 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, three-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated and BRIT Award-winning multi-platinum singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist James Bay returns with a brand-new single entitled “Give Me The Reason” via Republic Records/Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company.
On the new single and music video Bay said: “I wanted this song to feel huge and emotional. It’s about that moment when you feel like the sun is beginning to set on a relationship, it’s about the fight to stay together. I want it to explode with energy when I play it live. It’s about feeling your heart beat fast and love racing through your veins.”
Bay opens “Give Me The Reason” with incredible vocals and draws listeners in with his profound signature lyrics. The new song was recorded at both Blackbird studios in Nashville and in London with producer Gabe Simon [Lana Del Rey, Maroon 5, Calum Scott] and co-written with Foy Vance and features Ian Fitchuk [Kacey Musgraves, Brett Eldredge] on drums.
