This 2LP set features the original Ben Folds Five album on LP 1, including “Jackson Cannery,” “Philosophy,” and “Underground,” plus expanded liner notes and photos. LP2 unveils the "Shelved First Attempt," a previously unreleased early version of the album recently rediscovered by Ben Folds on digital audio tape in his personal archives. Produced by Dave “Stiff” Johnson, the bonus LP includes early alternate versions of seven album tracks, an early performance of “Evaporated,” and three rare outtakes: “Emaline,” “Dick Holster,” and “Eddie Walker.” This limited uDiscover exclusive pressing is one of only 1,000 copies signed by all three original band members: Ben Folds, Robert Sledge, and Darren Jessee.
